Day 14Thale Noi Lake

  • Then, we head to the river where a large part of the village community gathers on weekends to have lunch and spend the afternoon with their families. Lunch (excluding drinks) will be included – the meal will be prepared by the community women – so we can plan to buy some drinks on the way before arriving.

We should plan to bring light swimwear and a change of clothes, knowing that there are no "changing cabins" on site. Since this is a predominantly Muslim region, like all of southern Thailand, and considering that Thais are generally very modest, women who swim should consider bringing a sarong (a simple cotton cloth that you can find at the market – batik or printed textiles being a specialty of the South and nearby Malaysia).
