Day 1Welcome and transfer to Ayutthaya

  • Welcome by our team at the airport, followed by transfer to Ayutthaya, the ancient capital of the Kingdom of Siam, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

    Check-in at the hotel for some rest.

    Please note that rooms may be available until 2:00 PM. If you arrive early in the morning, you can leave your luggage at the reception and relax by the pool.
    
  • After breakfast, we set off to explore the historic center of the city by tuk-tuk, visiting the Wat Mahathat, dating back to the late 14th century.

    We then continue to the Wat Phra Sri Sanphet, which once served as a royal temple and is therefore the largest in the city, and the Wat Yai Chai Mongkhon, where we can admire the reclining Buddha.

  • This morning, we start the day at the Baan Saladin Floating Market, where you will discover the process of making the famous puffed rice cakes before tasting them.

    We then head to explore the great canal of Mahasawatk, which used to supply the markets of Bangkok. By boat, we take a ride on its waters to enjoy the local wildlife and feed the fish.

    Back on land, you will visit the Baby Jackfruit Garden, where you will appreciate the plantations of the famous fruit (the largest tree-borne fruit in the world) and the creation of several products made from this fruit.

    Finally, we will visit a lake where red lotuses bloom all year round, offering a unique landscape to behold.

  • We then head to Nakhon Pathom, home to the Wat Phra Pathom Chedi, the tallest stupa in Thailand.

  • After lunch, we hit the road for Kanchanaburi, where we will take the time to visit the grand temple of Wat Tham Sua, accessible by a short cable car ride (local standards!!).

  • Departure for the station and boarding around 10:40 am on the famous "Death Railway". made famous by the story of the movie "The Bridge on the River Kwai," for about 1 hour by train to the west and the Sai Yok region, located 70 km west at the end of the train line.

  • Transfer to Elephant Haven where we have lunch.

    Meet your guide and the Mahouts. Together, you will prepare food for the elephants before getting to know them while feeding them. We then go for a walk in the surrounding forest with the pachyderms, our guide taking this opportunity to teach us more about the animal.

    Then, we will have the chance to observe them during mud games before accompanying them to the river to give them a bath.

    In the end, we return to the camp where we can capture one last time our meeting with the pachyderms.

Day 4Erawan National Park

  • Departure in the morning for the Erawan National Park and Waterfalls (60 km drive). This national park is home to a superb waterfall spanning 7 levels, forming natural pools with emerald blue water inhabited by Mahseer barbs. While you can choose to stay around the first 3 levels, which are the easiest to access and where you can swim, an ascent to the 7th level, although not difficult, is rewarding: La Phu Pha Erawan, the final cascade, is the most majestic of all.

  • We then head to Nakhon Pathom, home to the Wat Phra Pathom Chedi, the tallest stupa in Thailand.

  • In the evening, we board our night train to Surat Thani. Overnight in an air-conditioned 2nd class sleeper compartment.

  • We arrive early at Surat Thani Railway Station (08:32). We are greeted by our driver, who will take us to Khao Sok National Park. We will have breakfast at the station or on the way (not included).

  • Next, we head to Cheow Lan Lake. A boat will be waiting to transfer us to our floating accommodation.

    We have some free time to swim in the clear waters of the lake.

    In the late afternoon, we enjoy a final boat excursion to observe the sunset.

    Return to the floating resort for dinner.

  • A magical night in a bungalow on stilts at the Greenery Panvaree Resort.

Day 6Khao Sok National Park

  • This morning, we go on a safari to observe the surrounding wildlife, then return to the bungalow for our morning snack. We have some free time to enjoy the lake, with the option of canoeing.

    After breakfast, we leave this place to return to dry land.

  • We are greeted by our driver, who will now take us to the jungle section of Khao Sok National Park.

  • 15:00 - Half-day educational hike in the jungle. This is an opportunity to learn more about the wildlife and flora of the National Park (3 hours).

    Activity accompanied by a local English-speaking guide in a small group.
    
  • Night at the Khao Sok Eco Resort in a Tree Lodge.

Day 7Destination: Khao Lak

  • This morning, a short transfer to Khao Lak, a haven for diving enthusiasts, where we will arrive before lunch. Free afternoon to enjoy the beach and the facilities of your hotel.

  • Check-in for 2 nights at The Leaf Oceanside hotel in a Leaf room.

Day 8Excursion to the Similan Islands

  • Today we embark on a day trip by boat to the Similan Islands. This small archipelago, 65 km off the coast, is a true paradise for lovers of white sandy beaches and divers.

    With a mask and snorkel, you can enjoy extremely rich marine life in the coral reefs.

  • Free morning to enjoy the beach then transfer to Phuket Airport.

  • We board our return flight to Bangkok. Transfer to your hotel and rest.

  • Settling in at the Shanghai Mansion, a boutique hotel ideally located in the heart of the capital's Chinatown.

  • Tonight, a different vision of Bangkok awaits us during a 3-hour night bike ride through the bustling streets of the Thai capital.

    In the cool of the evening, we will first explore the sparkling Chinatown and the famous Bangkok flower market before heading north along the Chao Phraya to reach the older part of the city and, on the other side of the river, the Thonburi district.

    This activity is in a small group and led by an English-speaking local guide.

  • Departure in the morning to reach the pier and take the public boat-buses to the center, on the right bank and the Pak Klong Talad flower market district.

  • Visit to the Grand Palace of Bangkok, built in 1782, which includes several magnificent buildings, including the Wat Phra Kaeo (Temple of the Emerald Buddha), which houses a beautiful Emerald Buddha dating back to the 14th century.

  • Then, we walk to Wat Pho, one of the oldest temples in Bangkok, to see its reclining Buddha.

  • We then cross the river by a small boat to visit Wat Arun, the "Temple of Dawn," located on the right bank.

  • Private traditional long-tail boat taxi ride on the Chao Phraya River, one of the most important rivers in the country. Discover the Venice of the East and the traditional life of the city's inhabitants, half of whom still live by the water.

  • At the end of the day, your driver will take you to the airport for your international return flight.
