  • Welcome by our team at the airport, followed by transfer to Ayutthaya, the ancient capital of the Kingdom of Siam, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

    Check-in at the hotel for some rest.

  • After breakfast, we set off to explore the historic center of the city by tuk-tuk, visiting the Wat Mahathat, dating back to the late 14th century.

    We then continue to the Wat Phra Sri Sanphet, which once served as a royal temple and is therefore the largest in the city, and the Wat Yai Chai Mongkhon, where we can admire the reclining Buddha.

Day 2Discovering Kanchanaburi and its surroundings

  • This morning, we head towards the province of Kanchanaburi, where the famous River Kwai flows.

  • Departure for the station and boarding around 10:40 am on the famous "Death Railway". made famous by the story of the movie "The Bridge on the River Kwai," for about 1 hour by train to the west and the Sai Yok region, located 70 km west at the end of the train line.

  • Transfer to Elephant Haven where we have lunch.

    Meet your guide and the Mahouts. Together, you will prepare food for the elephants before getting to know them while feeding them. We then go for a walk in the surrounding forest with the pachyderms, our guide taking this opportunity to teach us more about the animal.

    Then, we will have the chance to observe them during mud games before accompanying them to the river to give them a bath.

    In the end, we return to the camp where we can capture one last time our meeting with the pachyderms.

  • Settle in for 2 nights on half board at River Kwai Jungle Rafts, a floating raft on the river surrounded by the jungle of Sai Yok National Park.

  • Departure in the morning for the Erawan National Park and Waterfalls (60 km drive). This national park is home to a superb waterfall spanning 7 levels, forming natural pools with emerald blue water inhabited by Mahseer barbs. While you can choose to stay around the first 3 levels, which are the easiest to access and where you can swim, an ascent to the 7th level, although not difficult, is rewarding: La Phu Pha Erawan, the final cascade, is the most majestic of all.

  • We hit the road towards Bangkok.

  • From the city center, on foot, we head to Wat Pho, one of the oldest temples in Bangkok, to discover its reclining Buddha.

  • We then cross the river by a small boat to visit Wat Arun, the "Temple of Dawn," located on the right bank.

  • Private traditional long-tail boat taxi ride on the Chao Phraya River, one of the most important rivers in the country. Discover the Venice of the East and the traditional life of the city's inhabitants, half of whom still live by the water.

  • Visit to the Yaowarat and Talat Noi Chinatown district; the Temple of the Golden Buddha - Wat Traimitr, and the small but very interesting Yaowarat Chinatown Heritage Museum, which traces the history of Chinese immigration to Bangkok.

  • In the evening, you can freely stroll through the Chinatown district, wander the alleys overflowing with all kinds of shops. In the early evening, the night market sets up on Yaowarat Road and its illuminated side streets, bringing new life to the neighborhood. You will find all kinds of Thai and Chinese specialties for dinner there.

  • Your driver will take you to the docks of Ban Phe, where we will board a speedboat for the crossing to Koh Samet, the most easily accessible island from Bangkok where it is pleasant to relax for a few days, enjoy beautiful white sandy beaches, and delicious food offered on site.

    Please note, once there, you will have to pay the entrance fee to the national park. 200 THB per person.
    
  • Upon arrival on the island, a vehicle will take us to our hotel.

  • Staying for 3 nights at the Samet Villa Resort, a lovely resort surrounded by greenery in an ideal location. Further north is the liveliest part of the island, and Sai Kaew Beach, while just south lies a sublime and tranquil beach.

    The hotel's restaurant is one of the best on the island, which is a real plus.

    The massages offered on-site are excellent.

  • In the late morning or early afternoon, we order a taxi from our hotel (200 THB) and take a long-tail boat to the docks of Ban Phe, where our driver awaits us and takes us to Bangkok airport. We will have dinner there while waiting for our international return flight.
