Koh Jum Lodge

Koh Jum Lodge is an eco-resort designed to protect and preserve its main asset: the natural and untouched beauty of its environment.

Jean Michel Limandas is the co-owner and director of the lodge, along with his Thai wife Jane and several long-time friends from Lyon.

Both Jean and Jane have backgrounds in travel and eco-tourism in Thailand and have considerable experience in the field, having worked for a major French tour operator and travel agency for about twenty years.

During these years, they successfully organized tailor-made trips and stays throughout Asia and participated in the development of eco-lodges and cruises in Bangkok, northern Thailand, Laos, and Phuket.

Whether you come to Koh Jum for diving, adventurous hiking, or a romantic getaway, the establishment will make your stay enjoyable.

Koh Jum Lodge: 19 wooden pavilions overlooking the sea

Located south of the Gulf of Thailand, the island of Jum is nestled between Koh Lanta, Krabi, and Ko Phi Phi. Unlike its neighbors, Koh Jum is still spared from mass tourism.

The accommodation consists of 19 wooden bungalows, a swimming pool, and a well-maintained tropical garden. You'll feel right at home in your cozy bungalow, equipped with a double bed, a comfortable living room with a sofa and armchairs, and sanitary facilities. Relax on your private terrace, swaying lazily in a hammock, with your eyes fixed on rows of coconut trees and casuarinas.

Experience a traditional Thai massage. Refresh yourself in the pool or go for a snorkeling session to discover the incredible underwater world. All lodge guests enjoy panoramic views of the Andaman Sea from their bungalows. Offering practical comfort and meeting responsible tourism standards, the lodge is highly appreciated and well-rated by its guests.

Where is the Koh Hum Lodge located?

The most convenient and practical way to reach Koh Jum is by boat. Ferries run several times a day from Koh Lanta or Krabi. Would you prefer to arrive by long-tail boat? Take the next one at Laem Kruat Pier. Since Koh Jum Lodge does not have port facilities, boats anchor on the beach.

For a stress-free journey, a shuttle can pick you up at Krabi Airport and transfer you directly to the hotel. Shuttle fees are not included in the room rate.

Pets are not allowed on the property.

For a peaceful seaside vacation on Koh Jum, here's the address to remember: 286 Moo 3, T. Koh Sriboya, Nua Khlong, Krabi, Krabi 81130, Thailand.

Cozy and warm traditional pavilions

Vacationers will enjoy themselves in the 19 wooden bungalows that overlook the sea. To protect you from insects, your double bed is sheltered by a mosquito net. For your comfort, you have a spacious living room and sanitary facilities that are up to standard. No air conditioning, but a fan. A wardrobe, a refrigerator, and a minibar complete the equipment. And since travel goes hand in hand with immersion, the roof is thatched, and bamboo, silk, cotton, and rattan armchairs furnish your living room. The whole thing creates a rustic and beautiful ambiance.

The private balcony is a favorite, offering panoramic views of the garden, pool, or sea. The waiter can serve your breakfast on your balcony. The on-site restaurant offers delicious à la carte menus inspired by Thai or Western cuisine, with a marked preference for seafood.

Things to see and do on-site

Koh Jum is exactly like the paradise beach destinations that make up the reputation of southern Thailand. There is nothing to do except enjoy the sun, white sand, and relaxation. For swimmers, the best beaches nearby are Golden Pearl Beach, Koh Jum Beach, Ting Rai Beach, and Andaman Beach. They offer a remarkable view of Phi Phi Island. You can go for a hike, go scuba diving, or go for a leisurely stroll on the beach.

Available Facilities at the hotel

If it's impossible to go out in bad weather, you can enjoy the entertainment facilities at Koh Jum Lodge:

  • Play board games;
  • Take a reading break in the library: CDs, children's music, and books in several languages;
  • Take a relaxing bath in the pool.
  • Enjoy a beneficial massage in the fitness room.

Editorial review

  • If you plan to party and spend drunken evenings, booking at Koh Jum Lodge might not be a good idea. But if you're a couple looking for a quiet seaside vacation, a change of scenery, or a Robinson Crusoe adventure, it's hard to beat Koh Jum Lodge.
  • Customers have praised the multilingualism of the staff. They speak fluent English and French. The wooden architecture, dense jungle, and extremely friendly welcome truly make travelers feel like they're in the Land of Smiles. Highly recommended!
