  • This morning, you'll visit Ubud Palace - a historic complex emblematic of Balinese history and once home to the royal family. Just opposite is the craft market, where you can find all sorts of souvenirs.

  • Next stop is the village of Tampaksiring to visit the Gunung Kawi temples. This is surely Bali's most impressive site, with the 9 tombs of King Wungsu's family carved into the cliffs.

  • You will then visit Tirta Empul and its sacred pools, where hundreds of Balinese come every day to purify themselves.

  • Then it's on to Goa Gadjah, better known as the Elephant Cave. Dating from the 11th century and built at the crossing of two rivers, this temple is one of the oldest Balinese archaeological sites.

  • Finally, you will visit Yeh Pulu, a historical relief recounting the ancient life of the Balinese.

  • Return to Ubud in the early evening, where you can wander freely around the village.

  • This morning, you'll set off to discover the Tegallalang rice terraces. Located to the north of Ubud, they offer sumptuous panoramic views.

  • You'll discover this verdant environment on a short walk. It's an opportunity to appreciate the beauty of nature.

  • Continue on to Kintamani, a high-altitude village offering breathtaking views of the lake and Batur volcano. Lunch on the edge of the Batur caldera.

  • You will then head for Trunyan, along the shores of Lake Batur. Visit the cemetery by boat, where the bodies of the dead decompose in the open air.

  • You will then head for Kehen Temple.

  • You will then visit the Kehen temple in Bangli. This temple is one of the most revered in Bali. Its plant garden and eleven-meru temple make it a place full of spirituality and tradition.

  • Return to Ubud in the late afternoon.

  • Free morning to explore Ubud and the surrounding area. In Ubud, elegant temples and palaces with carved facades line the streets. Another of Ubud's tourist attractions, set slightly back from the town centre, is the "Monkey Forest" temple. The walks and hikes outside Ubud offer breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside, so unspoilt is the rural landscape.

  • In the late afternoon, you will discover the temple of Tanah Lot, which means "Land of the Sea" in Balinese. Standing on an islet battered by the ocean waves, it is a place of pilgrimage much sought-after by tourists and photographers alike. The temple of Tanah Lot was built in the 16th century on the advice of the famous Javanese priest Danghyang Nirartha to pay homage to the guardian spirits of the sea. This remarkable site also boasts one of the most splendid sunsets on the island.

  • Today, the focus is on traditions and sharing. Total immersion in everyday Balinese life: cooking, making offerings, dancing, music… At the heart of a Balinese family, head off to the market to buy the ingredients you need to prepare your meal. You will then head for home, where you will spend most of the day sharing and participating in the various activities of everyday Balinese life: making coffee, preparing offerings. You will then take part in a cooking class, which you will then taste. In the early afternoon, take a walk through the village and the surrounding countryside. Return home for a farewell tea with your hosts… A day full of sharing!

  • After breakfast, departure for the upper reaches of the Ayung River.

  • After receiving basic instructions and being kitted out, you board the raft (maximum five people). Descent of the river (approximately three hours). Shower and lunch on site. You then head off to visit the Sangeh monkey forest.

  • This forest, much less touristy than its big sister in Ubud, is made up of 3 temples and more than 500 free-roaming monkeys. Finally, visit Pura Taman Ayun, a state temple in Mengwi. It is one of the only temples where the ancestral royal divinities are celebrated. Its peaceful gardens and architecture, with its line of groupers, make it a place of calm and serenity.

  • In the early morning, transfer to Jatiluwih, a small village in the middle of Bali's most beautiful rice fields, in the central-western part of the island. You then embark on a superb hike through the veritable ocean of rice terraces that surround you.

  • Visit the Luhur Batukaru temple, set in lush greenery and featuring several multi-roofed "meru", some dating back to the 17th century, dedicated to the ancestors of the Tabanan dynasty and to local protective deities.

  • You will also visit the superb Hindo-Buddhist temple of Ulun Danau. This is an enchanting place, with its huge banyan tree at the entrance and its superb gardens. One of the temples is tucked away on a small island, its 11-storey roof elegantly reflected in the waters of the lake.

  • In the afternoon, you will take the pulse of Bedugul's picturesque market, before returning to your nearby hotel.

  • This morning you'll head to the Sekumpul waterfalls, considered to be the most beautiful in Bali.

  • The day continues in Sangsit to visit the 16th-century Beiji Temple. This temple in the north of the island is very different from the temples in the south, with more symmetry, ornamentation and Chinese influences.

  • Continuing towards Amed, you stop off at Tianyar. This small village, with its salt marshes, harbour, market and little houses, is a marvel of unspoilt Bali. You arrive at your seaside hotel in the afternoon.

  • Free day in Amed. Originally a small fishing village, Amed has managed to retain its charm and simplicity despite the growth in tourism. This day can be an opportunity to go snorkeling from the beach. The seabed here is rich and easy to access.   • Sunrise in Amed is a sight not to be missed! At first light, the fishing boats return with the rising sun behind them and the imposing Agung volcano in front.

  • After breakfast, departure for Pura Lempuyan just above Tirtagangga, in the far east of Bali. An incredibly steep road leads to the start of what can be considered a pilgrimage. 7 temples, 1500 steps to connect them and a plunging view over the sea.

  • Then a visit to the royal baths of Tirtagangga (whose exact translation is "The waters of the Ganges"), on the south-eastern slopes of Agung. Officially known as Tirta Ayu, this complex of freshwater pools was one of the many water palaces built by a Karangasem king.

  • Continuing on to Tenganan, the Bali Aga village where the descendants of the first inhabitants of the island of Bali live: a veritable living museum. Here you will discover traditional weaving methods. At the end of the day, you reach the idyllic valley of Sidemen.

  • This morning, we're off to visit the Goa Lawah cave. Founded in 1007 by Empu Kuteran, it has a reputation for bringing good luck. It is one of Bali's nine directional temples (called "kayangan jagat") that protect the island from evil spirits. The main attraction is the colony of bats and the legends associated with them.

  • Next, a short stop at Kusamba, a small fishing village with a black sandy beach, to discover the traditional methods of salt harvesting.

  • Then, in the town of Klungkung, you will discover the court of justice where the punishments formerly inflicted on outlaws are depicted as threats hanging over the heads of the accused.

  • You then continue on to Sanur, arriving in the afternoon. Check-in at the hotel and evening at leisure.
